I don't think Bratt is on the table for a deal like this. He's the Devils' only elite winger, so they need an elite winger coming back, full stop.

Since Devils have elite centers and lack wingers, Bratt's value is insane high and will take over value for a trade to happen. Can't get a top 6 winger from a team desperately also looking to add top 6 wingers

Damn that is quite the package for Bratt but they also can't do that. They are at the same stage as the Sens : they want and they NEED to compete NOW

This package is mostly futures. Brown is a pretty good player but can't generate offense at the same rate as Bratt. The 3 other pieces won't make a difference now


I'm not aware about any "rumor" though that "Bratt might not sign with the Devils"... could just be negotiations tactics to put pressure on the Devils.


Also, it really sucks to spend that many assets to get rid of bad contracts when the Sens aren't even close to the cap.

Just live with Murray and Zaitsev contracts (it might be LTIR for Murray, we could also send Del Zotto to the AHL again and keep Zaitsev as the 7th D-man. Buy out his last year at worst.

Idk, Jimmy (Stuzle) is gonna be up next summer and will need an extension, so will Pinto, so I think we have to get rid of these contracts now to have the money to pay them, plus, Zaitsev and Murray are taking roster spots from the young players that we have and might deserve the spot more than Murr and Nikita, so it's kinda necessary to get rid of them.

Yeah I don't think the Devils should trade him, as the same thing could be applied with Debrincat and the Blackhawks, they are both big pieces for their respective team's futures.

Zaitsev, Murray and then White contracts expire in the near future. The NHL cap will continue to rise. You can certainly give bridges to some players
