Pittsburgh declines. You would have to retain on Myers, he makes more and has another year of term

Nope, Myers is the more valuable/better player. He's barely if at all a cap dump anymore

If he were a UFA this offseason, he absolutely gets 5 and more than likely gets 6. You underestimate how many teams are desperate for big RDs. Risto just got re-signed with an AAV of 5.1 and Myers is much better than him.

Then why is he getting traded away with retention in the majority of Vancouver ACGMs?

Canucks fans love to sh*t on their own players. It's also more than likely he's being traded with retention because they're trading him for actual assets and not a cap dump like Zucker

If he can put a healthy season together zucker is better than Myers. Regardless, they are both cap dumps. Both players get **** on and both for good reason

And that my friend is why he is a cap dump, not because of lack of skill or work ethic, but because of injury concerns

The guy played banged up. He does so many things that don’t show up on the score sheet too.

I’m not claiming he is Connor mcdavids or anything, just saying he is a solid middle six energy player when healthy. How good he is does not change the fact that Myers is also overpaid.

Oh, look, the guy who played half a season (less of it at 100%), had the lowest shooting percent of his career, and spent most of the season getting low minutes didn't score very much.
As opposed to Tyler Myers having the 3rd most minutes of any non-goalie for Vancouver, and having the lowest points/60 minutes of his career.
It's not the best comparison since one's a forward and one's a defenseman, but I don't want Myers on Pittsburgh anywhere near the cap hit he's on.

Don’t need another little things Loui Eriksson with all the “good things he does that don’t show up on the score sheet”.

As for Myers; yes he’s overpaid but he’s still a 2nd pairing RHD and had a good season. And apparently it’s been reported there’s a market for him so he’s going to get something from some team if traded.

I mean it doesn’t really matter what you want. It’s if your team would do it. Idk if Pens would take Myers at 6mill but I think they would look at him especially if Letang doesn’t sign

This is a horrible offer. If we want Miller, it’ll likely be Marino, Kap, 1st, second. No need for the other garbage of Zucker and Myers cap dump exchanges and etc.

I’d do the deal that you proposed. A couple months ago, Pens fans claimed Marino was untouchable but now all of a sudden you guys seem fine trading him and other assets for Miller. What’s changed?

I’m not on board with trading for Miller if that’s what we have to give up. And also, Marino trade rumors have been going on for a while, if anyone is hesitant to deal him, it’s Hextall.

Marino, Zucker, Tankov, Broz, 1st for Miller, Myers

    First reaction is: LOL

    Marino, 3rd for Miller
    Zucker, 3rd for Myers (-$2M)

    Pens counter:
Marino, Zucker, 3rd, 3rd for Miller, Myers (-2M)
    or
Marino, Zucker, 2nd for Miller, Myers (-2M)

Vancouver fans REALLY need to stop with the "please give us Marino" trades for Miller/Boeser/Garland. Especially the massive overpays, Marno, 1st, plus for Miller, lol, Marino plus for Boeser, NO.

But the best option is just stop with the insanity of these trades. They have solidly jumped the shark.

Canucks fans were never begging for Marino, we were simply suggesting a trade involving him. By the way, your trade proposals are heavily skewed in Pittsburgh's favor

Last time I checked, a guy who just put up 99 points can fetch a lot more than an underperforming second pair D, and a third. Canucks are not begging for him, but he’s more valuable than your other assets
