After watching your small defense get pushed around over and over in the playoffs I saw it as a hockey trade. Dumba hasn't been elite the past 4 years so his 6 million is no bargain either. And we need some major PK help, not scoring. We have plenty of that

The hell we do. Devils wouldn't give up Holtz straight up for Fiala, never mind adding a 1st. Addison and Duhaime are just depth throw ins. MIN can keep them.

I just think you can get more for Dumba and can get Myers for essentially free if you wanted. Two separate trades might yield better value.

I don't think we'd pay extra for the two extra pieces.

The market for Myers sounds to be getting better and better, doesn't sound like anybody will get Myers for free now. The above trade 1 for 1 is a fair deal

But what I meant to say was, that there‘s little to no chance GMTF trades Holtz away in a deal for Fiala. His ceiling as a 30-40 goal scorer and 3 years of ELC production make him just to valuable.

I look at this way. Fiala is worth Holtz. But good chance Fiala is obtainable without using Holtz.

So if we don’t need to move Holtz, it’s not worth it to our team. We have plenty of other picks/prospects to deal from.

His ceiling is Fiala and somehow that makes him more valuable than Fiala… make it make sense.

I wouldn’t trade Fiala to NJ without one of 2OA(MN adds), Mercer, Holtz or unprotected 2023 1st coming back. If you can’t make a deal from those pieces, then Ottawa has the better package to offer.
