If Bergeron leaves tank for bedard part 1

Description
Bruins fans might be insanely lucky they’re going to bottom out in a year with 3 franchise talents in the draft. In the ideal situation of course, you get bedard and never have to worry about centre depth again. The best part about this possible rebuild is you don’t have to trade McAvoy away, as you can tank with him on IR.

Either way, lots of solid young pieces they need to build around. A rebuild has been coming for years

I've actually never said Jacobs was costing them anything, just that at minimum he expects the team to make the playoffs so he can get his playoff money. This isn't even some big secret and pretty commonly known by anyone whose followed the team for any decent amount of time.

BTW why'd you stop using your BCarlo25 account?

Its just such a stupid take. You think Jacobs account didn’t tell him the correlation between the team making deep runs and the bottom line? 07-08 wasn’t the money maker for Delaware north. If the team is genuinely good they make more money in the regular season, and the playoff gate. 5 years of being bad and 5 years of being genuinely good is WAY more profitable than 10 years of being okay. Jacobs isn’t a moron.

You can think it's a stupid take all you want, but it's the reality of it. PC was fired after the Bruins failed to make the playoffs. CJ was was fired after the Bruins failed to make the playoffs for a 2nd year in a row.

Why would Edmonton pay the equivalent of four 1st round picks for 1 year of Pastrnak when they can just sign Kane who will score 40 for them?

I think they'd give up a lot for McAvoy though.

PC was fired because he and Neely didn’t get along, and PC wouldn’t fire CJ.

If you want to blame ownership for having misplaced trust in Neely, go right ahead.

Sweeney came in after two years of not making the playoffs, and proceeded to trade NHL stars for futures. Not really sure how that works into your crackpot theory.

Lol, ya think? One guy could be available. Check back on the other in seven years.

LOL if PC and Neely didn't get a long well then why was PC the GM for 9yrs? If he was fired because he wouldn't fire CJ then why did Sweeney not fire CJ immediately when he took over as GM? Why did he keep CJ around for another season and a half?

Sweeney also did not come in after two years of not making the playoffs. The first year they missed was in '14-'15 (same year CJ was fired) and Sweeney was named GM in 2015. He traded away Hamilton who refused to sign with Boston (this again is pretty common knowledge) and Lucic (carrying a $6 million hit) who was going to be a UFA the following off-season and had started to see his production decline. They still went out and added to the roster with the goal to make the playoffs (and they nearly did, missing by 3pts).

Wow. The Neely PC hatred was very well documented. You sure you’ve actually been following for 30 years?

Hamilton was RFA. Whether you think you know abotu the insides of that negotiation is irrelevant. Sweeney didn’t have to trade him for zero hockey players.

It kind of just seems like your brain broke for this and you just started shaking with rage every time you thought about Jacobs. Let it go dude. Its dumb.

LMAO this is why I kept you on the ignore list for as long as I did. You can't have a conversation without trying to throw insults at people. I give you credit you have some good hockey knowledge but you come off like a complete asshole which is why its not uncommon to see posters complain about you. Its more than likely the same reason you stopped using the @BCarlo25 account because you had gotten so many infractions that they banned the account.

Could we sit here and keep going back and fourth? sure but I'm not going to convince you of anything, nor will you convince of anything. Seems its best that we both continue to not engage with each other so we don't waste each others time.

    cheers

Those in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones pal. Put me back on ignore. I really don’t care at all. If you’re just going to go on and on about some fairytale from the 80s, i don’t have much value for your posts.

But please, don’t talk about why you should have someone on ignore. That’s lame. Just put them on ignore and quit whining.
