I mean it's not that lob sided of a trade. Bryson is an extremely under rated defesenman on a Sabres team and Jesse needs to go to a team where he'll get top 6 minutes. He just hasn't fit in EDM at all

Jacob Bryson is actually an extremely underrated defenseman if you actually watched hockey. Pulijarvi does not mesh well with EDM at all and needs a change of scenery desperately while EDM also needing a capable two-way defensemen in being Bryson

its not a dig at Bryson. The Sabres strength is LHD, so if they can add a talent like Puljujarvi and it only costs them their 4th best left shot d-man, thats a hard one to say no to. FTR, he's not underrated. The GAR metric likes him for his involvement in the offense, which is valuable, but defensively he's sort of a nightmare. Although it doesn't help that they played him with Fitzgerald, who is a whole other kind of nightmare.

Edmonton has Nurse and Keith on the left, and will likely resign Kulak.

They have Bouchard, Ceci, Barrie on the right.

They have Broberg who's on the edge of playing (23gp and 1 in the playoffs,) who plays both sides, and Niemo whom the fans love and brings a unique skill (which is why fans love him) who played 20 games this season. They also have Samorukov, who they've been very high on, and a bunch of college guys that will likely be traded and become the next John Marino.

I can't see them bringing on a 24 year old defender with under 150 games.

Bryson is a very good skater who can move the puck. But he is the odd man out on Buffalo’s loaded left-hand side. This would be a great trade for Buffalo, and if he gets a chance in Edmonton it could be great for him too.

This is getting ridicolous, there are Barrie trades to the Isles on this site everyday, and everyday at least 5 Islanders fans try to tell the Oilers fans that Isles probably is the worst trade partner for a Barrie deal, I don’t get it… why not try Dallas instead? They’ll lose Klingberg and need a pp-replacement.
