    Why would it cost assets to move Monahan and then cost more assets to bring in a player who is at best a wash in Schmaltz?

    Lucic buyout would be moronic. It doesn't even save half a league minimum contract in cap space

    So is Monahan when he isn't injured. Just people forget that since he's played injured for 2 seasons straight. He will very likely be healthy now that the surgery is done

    Sure he didn't have the best point production last year, but he could very well turn the corner and perform with an increased role in Arizona

    He had 59 points, not 60 and Monahan has also had 1 outlier season around a PPG too at the same age
