Description
I don't expect a blow up of the entire team. I predict only some players will move to free up roster spots and a bit of cap. This is made on the assumption that Price retires and Wright goes back to juniors. Although if neither of those things happen it doesn't create any major changes.

    Détails additionnels:
Petry is a top 3 dman on most teams in the league and will be worth a good amount no matter what public opinion is. Are we gonna forget what Chariot brought in?

Armia had a tough year. He's not as bad as he showed but he's clogging up the RW. I would give up a pick/picks but I wouldn't give any higher then a 3rd. At that point the trades not worth it

Term can be an asset, or a detriment. With petry, a guy in his mid 30’s, it doesn’t add value. It takes it away.

After the WC Armia had, I can see a few teams looking at him as a depth option for a 4th or 5th round pick.

Your not wrong, but Petry doesn't play the style of game that falls of a cliff. He isn't super physical or a speedster. He relies on his IQ and passing ability to be as good as he is. Plus even if a ton of GMs were worried about his age, there'd still be some that would be a big piece. We saw this with 100% washed Kieth in the offseason

Just wait a few months. He's getting traded after asking for a trade. A lot of ppl here hate on Habs players cause it's cool. They were all laughing at the Lehkonen trades offers at the TDL, Chiarot, Kulak.

They didnt even know whom Kulak was, I offered a 3rd rounder and ppl said I was delusional. Just oblivious to trade values. a 3rd rounder, really? Who draws the line at a 3rd rounder besides haters? And they'll never admit they were wrong. Truly honourable.

Needs to be retention on Petry to get much of value returned (like a Chiarot package).

Ya, except for that time this year when he fell off a cliff.

He was literally the best defenseman after St Louis took over. Ducharme stats don’t count

Oh, so its coach dependent? So, if he went to another team, with another coach, you acknowledge that he might perform the way he did under the previous regime?

Are teams potentially trading for him also getting St. Louis?

Well its because Caufield isn’t that great.

But if its coaching dependent, surely other teams wouldn’t be interested at all.
