That guys a bit of a leafs homer. Probably expect matthews to just sign for the same number. I think there’s a very good chance matthews leaves toronto.

i think if he leaves that LA is the destination. kopitar’s contract is up that same year so they’ll have the cap to offer him max money, the team is on the upswing, and it feels like his vibe.

Never thought of that but that'd be a great destination for him. Probably the best. I'd say Vegas too but they'll be in a terrible situation with the cap by then (they already are)
