A big overpay in Gibson and Miller trade. Won't the Leafs be much better signing Campbell at 5m and keeping Robertson and the first? Sorry 20 man rosters just don't happen.

Leafs give up way too much for Gibson but not near enough for Miller.

Sandin is a "meh piece" - you heard it here first people.

Jeez canucks fans are more delusional than us Leafs fans even

You're dreaming man, he has been a below-league-average goalie the past 2-3 seasons and has a huge contract. Leafs give up a first rounder and #1 prospect. This would be an absolute steal for the ducks even to just get out from under the Gibson contract.

Agreed - I tried to make these overpays to make more realistic. Wanted to take my bias out of it.

Miller is probably close but a no - gibby trade is a definite yes from ducks

He's meh because he doesn't fit the Canucks needs. The Canucks already have two small LHD, they don't need another.

Sandin isn't a small defenceman and definitly doesn't play like it. Very physical defenseman with tons of skill and potential, he would probably be the second-best dman on the canucks right now.

This is the type of thinking that got Benning fired - your only stud on D is Hughes. Sandin has top 4 potential for the next decade.

You never draft or buy futures based on need. You take the value and sure might be an awkward fit for the year but he would already slot in your top 6 defence...

Also, diversity of traits on a roster is important yes but the NHL moved on from "small" and "big" to classify defencemen years ago.

Anaheim don’t even consider. You are asking for 7 million retained over the 5 years left so you may have that covered here but that’s about jt
