William Nylander is worth more than Alex Nedeljkovic and Filip Hronek alone.

But why would Detroit trade their only Goalie under contract in Alex Nedeljkovic? Unless we can convince Jack Campbell to come home.

Since he has 2 years left, He can't be resigned until the summer of 2023 when he has 1 year left on his deal.

I saw Campbell and thought he would come home or maybe they take a run at Husso if you think he can be a starter. What else would I be able to get from y’all? Looking for a cheap 2-way Centre (preferably) but mostly want a bottom 6 checking guy

The really only cheap 2 way centers we've is either Pius Suter or Joe Veleno, And we wont move Joe Veleno and we'd only move Pius Suter if we sign one of Andrew Copp, Ryan Strome or Vincent Trocheck and i don't have the faith that we sign any of them.

And bottom 6 checking guy's we'd be looking for them as well. Doubt we can help each other in any of those areas.

Value not bad for Detroit, Wings might do that if they feel confident about signing a decent UFA goalie or making a trade for one

I think Jack wouldn't mind playing for his hometown or take a run at Husso if you think he can be that guy or a 1a with another goalie like a Holtby to mentor like a Husso and if y'all bad flip Holtby at the TDL for draft picks.

Like I said I had no idea what the value was for them. I get value wise maybe now but a 3M goalie and 4.4M top 4 dman isn't bad for a cap team

I wouldn't trade a top line forward for a goalie, especially one as unproven as Nedeljkovic. You can get a goalie with equivalent talent and pedigree in free agency. And the Leafs don't need another top 4 defenseman. We have Sandin, Liljegren, Brodie, Rielly and Giordano.

I would trade Nylander for a top six power forward or two young promising top 9 forwards on cheap deals.

Problem is there's no guarantee these UFA goalies will sign with Detroit and we're not exactly a prime destination for players right now. We're already searching for a backup goalie and trading our starter would be foolish. It only makes sense if we want to tank for Bedard next season.

Oh trust me Id be so willing to do a Willy for a Wilson type player like a Konecny but if were indeed playing JT on the wing next year, Id want like Trocheck and sign a Nichuskin so That's why a trade like this would make sense (maybe not value wise) But I was thinking-

Give Sandin top 4 with Brodie and try to trade muzzin to free up 5.625 for extra depth. If Sandin is good but could do better for the year look at a rental at the TDL for the playoffs and will give y'all an extra dman for the playoffs anyway.
