This is good beside Alex G isn't waiving. He just signed a two years extension with nmc barely a month back. Minnesota born player with Minnesota wife isn't going to agree

It would probably be Kulikov instead. Which would be good for the Islanders anyways because Kulikov was better than Goligoski the last half of the season.

I think there's room for Bailey on the Sens, although I don't know if they're still going to be as excited over his deal (2x$5M AAV but only paying $3.5M each year) as they would have been with Melnyk still around.

Top 6 for them is set next year with Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson and Formenton-Stutzle-Joseph, but I think there's some room in the bottom 6(maybe on Connor Brown's wing?) where you could find a spot for Bailey and let your 18/19-year-old forward prospects develop without rushing them.

Plus, I'd arguing that giving up Josh Bailey & a 3rd to get back two lower picks (4th&7th) would count as paying to dump a guy there.

Just because he can fit, doesnt mean OTT is interested in fitting him in.

Considering that OTT has been linked to both Giroux and Fiala, I reckon OTT is looking at better options. You would have to make taking Bailey look better than acquiring one of the other two.

Giving up a 2024 3rd vs Two 2022 picks

Look at the probability of success different between a late 3rd, and an early 4th, now add a 7th. Youre looking a higher probability of realizing an NHL player between the 4th and 7th than you are the 3rd.

~30% vs ~22% + ~10%
