I've mulled a Binnington trade, but I dont really have faith in him. Matt Murray 2.0

Ehh Binnington has not sunk near as far as Murray. It's a silly comparison.

I think a more realistic PIT trade is Barbashev for Pettersson and Broz. Then Scandella is moved to either DET or ANA with Kostin and a draft pick

So Sabres rather than have Husso for 5 mil, elect to pay for Binnigton on 6 mil AAV ?

I don't get the fascination with trading Barbashev - yes it's a career year for him so peak value but he is an affordable top 9 forward plus him, Buch, Tarasenko love playing on the same team. Would rather avoid another overpaid supposedly top 4 LHD and stick with Mikkola, Scandella, Perunovich, Rosen or someone else.

Scandella is overpaid. Blues need a shutdown top 4 LD. His value will never be higher and he is a prime regression candidate. It's about maximizing assets at this point with him.

Scandella is overpaid lol - that was my point we paid him like a 4D and he isn't that. I don't believe Chiarot/Leddy/anyone really besides a Chychrun type move the needle enough.

Now, I wouldn't mind re-signing Leddy for 1-2 years and trading Scandella as a bridge to hopefully Perunovich ever being healthy.
