Does will deserve to be traded after having a career year - no. Will he because of the pandemic cap implications - yes.

Little too much for the preds to give up imo
I can’t see them doing that when they are a borderline team atm

I can't see two rare breeds in Jeannot and L'heureux traded for an 'easy find' player in Nylander, the line with Matthews, Marner, and Nylander were embarrassingly bad. While Nylander was afraid of the corners and the physical play, Matthews and Marner didn't show up when the games got physical and tough, embarrassing when someone like Jason Spezza (who plays on the fourth line) has to show up and not the $11M players or the $7M player. At one point in the ESPN broadcast, when the game was 3-1, one person said "it's dead silent on the Maple Leafs bench" (embarrassing)

I think you're opening a dangerous door if the Leafs start sending out offersheets.

I guess Matthews didn't show up for the other 58 goals he had this season.

IMO it's too much for Nashville to give up for two years of Nylander. Seattle shouldn't be giving up a second rounder for one year of Kerfoot. Gee why don't they just offer sheet Roy?
Like the team you constructed. But the following summer with no big contracts expiring....how to pay for Bunting, Kallgren and Jeannot?

Probably would cost more than a 2nd to trade for Roy. Could be a good way to get a good 2 way 3C. With Vegas in a similar cap situation to Leafs maybe they find a way to match or maybe 3.6M is to much.

Nothing to do with his 58 goals, it's more about how when the playoffs starts rolling and the games get more physical and intense, the big players go into hiding (I hope that narrative changes)

Muzz trade of course lol that's the easy answer but who knows what the cap will be - maybe it jumps by a couple million too.

I genuinely think Matthews has been more physical all year - hard to fault him for the last few games of the year going hard into the corners. Different situation but look what happened to Ovi last night. Marner
on the other hand does need to prove he is willing to be more physical in the playoffs. Matthews didn't score last year but play a 200 ft game fore them.

I love when some random 24 year old guy has a 20 goal 40 point season and people lose their tree over him

There is no Muzzin trade. He can easily block any trades in a cap strapped league with his M NTC. No team on his trade list has the cap or the desire for him.
You're right....so many Leafs fans think a Mrazek/Muzzin cap solutions are trades or LTIRs

Keefe sitting Matthews out lost all his momentum heading into the playoffs from what it looks like, he needs to score badly so he can start feeling good about himself. Marner has been unbelievably good this season and he's one of my favourite players, but he better show up for the playoffs

Keefe didn't sit Matthews out? He had hand injury. Didn't anyone else see it?. Losing all momentum.? Gee, even if Matthews doesn't score in the next two games, do you really think he isn't going to feel good about himself?

NSH declines. Way too much for Nylander, and Hirvonen & Kase don't add much value for NSH.

And a late 1st and ok prospect dont add much value for Toronto, especially to make up the difference between nylander and jeannot

Jeannot and L'Heureux are rare breeds in the NHL, Nylander is an 'easy find' player in the NHL, I can't see Nashville making that trade either

yeah, 24 year olds who put up 40 points and late 1st round early 2nd round value prospects, sure are rare, yep
