No Rust or Letang

Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
While I personally think Rust remains with the Pens, I'm not 100% convinced. My gut tells me there's a 30% he bounces for the Wings.

Letang? I'm 50/50 on him staying. I think the Pens will offer the right money, but reports are he may want to play for rebuilding Habs.

All that said, this is if both Rust and Letang decide to bounce.

What I'm unsure about...

Gio - Not sure what his market value is, so I could be way off or dead on.

Palat - Is he worth $5Mish? Probably, but I think the term in his signing drops his price. At this point for the Pens term means nothing.

murphy deal is wayyy to much, why flip zucker if you are acquiring dadanov, nucks may have to add but if they do a little.

I think Murphy is an underrated RD. With CHI going to rebuild they will get competitive offers for Murphy. Poulin has been improving in the AHL, but I still don't think he's a good prospect, but my perception doesn't really matter. The perception on him is still decent so I think he has value.

You may be right though. Murphy's value is hard to evaluate.

I honestly don't know what the value of Murphy is, but he's a very solid RD. Probably better than Marino, so I look at it as an upgrade, but I'm fine to amend it.

That said, Dadonov produces more than Zucker, so it's a production upgrade. That part should be obvious.

I think Murphy is a really good Defensive RHD. The reason this makes sense to the Hawks is exactly what you said...they're rebuilding. So we're going to have to develop our Dmen and trust one of them actually turns into what Murphy is today. If that strategy doesn't work out....well...then the Hawks likely have a higher pick for the following year's draft. I like Blomqvist, I like the 2nds (and condition) , I like Comtois in this deal as he could potentially be flipped. I'd say even as a Hawks fan...you could probably drop Poulin and it's a good trade.

He isn’t a need for Anaheim and those are assets we could use on a player for the future. It literally makes no sense for Anaheim to do this man

Ok, thanks for the input! I'd make the change, but it's a pain lol

I'm fine to change the Dumo change, but it's all a pain in the butt. The Pens can get a 2nd + decent prospect to use in that trade from a handful of teams.

I'm not going to sit and argue this. Your team needs an LHD and trying to build something. Having a vet presence and could be someone to extend. Regardless, Dumo is easily worth a 2nd + decent prospect, so there's more than a few teams that are options here.

This is an interesting approach for CHI. I would have to consider this offer due to the nature of our franchise heading into a rebuild. TBH, it could even be an overpayment though I would feel the expected return for Murphy with his term and cap hit would generally be a 1st + prospect sort of return but this is definitely a different take and 1 I'm not opposed to discuss if it were me.

I definitely realize I offered up a little too much. Not sure how much I'd shave off. Maybe take Blomqvist or Poulin out. I totally forgot we traded Clang, so I'd probably take Blomqvist out.

Blomqvist is probably the piece to take out as we have Commesso who we took a few places before him in that draft and have Soderblom.
