Sharks pass, we'll just keep Nieto. A few less points but he excels in his defensive role and speed and is less than half the cap hit of Nosek. He's really looked good this 2nd half of the season (defensively).

That contract would be insulting to Bergeron. He would pack up and leave the second Boston offered it.

I don't know guys Nieto is easily replaceable with Nosek and Studnika has skill, I would roll the dice on this one.

Not close for Garland? What has he ever done to deserve that status over DeBrusk? If you want to say he's a slightly better player than DeBrusk then I will respect that. To say that the offer of DeBrusk and a capable 3rd pair defenseman for Garland is "not close", you are way overvaluing your favorite teams asset.

Pennies on the dollar? You are off base. Garland has more points than DeBrusk but DeBrusk has produced 23 goals to Garlands 17. Reilly is just a cap dump? He might be slightly overpaid at 3M but a 3rd pair D who plays 18M per game as a plus player IS NOT A CAP DUMP. It's a fair offer which you don't have to accept but to say it is "not close" or "pennies on the dollar" is incorrect.

Okay, maybe Pennies on the Dollar is too harsh of an assessment, but Vancouver will never accept that offer from Boston I can assure you
