Annunen has had a really rocky season in the AHL. I am still optimistic for his future, but I could see the ask for Quick after this season being a bit higher.

One day the Avs will actually draft and successfully develop a goalie….

I don't agree with trading away one of the faces of our franchise, and Stanley Cup heroes, in the last year of his contract before his sweater is put in the rafters, for only a mess of pottage.

LMAO no thanks on the COL deal.
If they miss out on Kuemper, which I don’t think they will, there’s still other options out there. Heck, I’d rather play Francouz/Annunen 50/50 for the season then give up assets again for a 1 year G rental

You don’t want a future Hall of Famer for a low cost?

His numbers suggest otherwise, look for yourself.
Hasn’t exceeded .908 sv% since 17-18 season
GAA in the 2.7-2.8 range for 4 years now.
37 y/o mid season, you expecting him to all of a sudden return to form 5 years removed from his last decent season?

You mean a hall of famer with a season high save % of .906 in the last 4 years who got smoked and lasted 10 minutes in his last start? Yeah that’s an easy pass.

.906 is about average and the Kings defensive play this season hasn’t been great

A goalie is as good as the team in front t of them. You have the best team in the league. It’s been a while since Quick had a team like that in front of him

There are numerous examples of good teams getting bad goaltending (both EDM goalies, Grubauer in SEA) and bad teams getting good goaltending (Kuemper in ARI for a number of years, Forsberg in OTT this year, Stolarz in ANA).

Bad teams don’t always = bad goalies
Good teams don’t always = good goalies

Quicks been bad for 4 consecutive years

Edmonton has bad goaltending for sure but they’ve played fast and loose in front of goal. A really good team can make a really average goalie look special. There are few and far between that are truly special and carry a team. Hasek is the best example of that but there are more Mike Vernon’s than Dominator’s.

.906 is not average and that’s his best season .912 is about average and he 39th in the league in’s save % with goalies w/at least 10 GP. Bro, Quick was great but he is toast he hasn’t been a good goalie in years. Also it cracks me up how everybody on here uses the team is good or bad to support their position on a player the LAK are 15th in the league in GA Quick just isn’t that good anymore it happens Father Time is undefeated.
