If WPG took back Monohan's contract, CAL might consider......but that's only if Johnny hockey re-signs and Tkachuk re-ups

No chance the Jets consider it at all. An unneeded LD prospect and a left shot winger aren't anywhere close to getting Scheifele.

Decent value but it doesn't make sense for the Flames

Yes it does lol. The flames second line centre as of right now is Backlund, that’s not good enough.

Dude, Backlund is one of the best two way centers in the game. He's fine as a number two, especially when you have Lindholm in front of you.

I'm just curious, if Ottawa gave you Stutzle, Sanderson, Pinto, 2022 1st, 2022 2nd, and 2022 3rd would you say yes? (Ottawa would never do that) Cause it seems like you're not getting the aspect of a trade. Which is to get things of value regardeles regardles of whether or not they are in positions of need cause then you can flip them to address other area's of concern.

Also you're not getting anywhere near this much for Schiefel unless a team is desperate for a second line center.

I'm curiuis as to why you think the Jets would just take the first lowball offer they get? They aren't being forced to trade Scheifele and likely won't do it, so why would they agree to a sub- optimal return?

If it's so easy to flip pieces, why don't you head out and flip them first for players the Jets need and then come back with an offer.

PPG 1C's on a steal of a contract are very rare and would cost a lot to obtain. This offer is beaten quite easily.

Okay, my experiement has concluded you are delusional, Sanderson is a franchise defenseman on the LD, Stutzle is a potential superstar, Brannstrom is a potential superstar, and the first will be top ten. You will not beat that return and you will not get an offer of that magnitude. You're right that the Jets are not being forced to trade Scheifle but I don't think you understand what he can potentially pull.

What are you talking about? Who said anything about the Ottawa players. I'm saying this lowball Calgary offers is beaten easily.

Are you saying the 2 Calgary players in the original offer are better than the Ottawa players you named? Because that sounds delusional.

Scheifele is a 1C, Calgary already has that in Lindholm. While Backlund isn't the greatest player of all time, he is quite effective, especially on a line with Mangiapane and Toffoli. He works as a 2C for the Flames. Plus Calgary shouldn't be adding cap when we have to extend several key players this offseason (Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Mangiapane & Kylington).

While Winnipeg does have a surplus of centres and with the emergence of Dubois as a 1C and Perfetti in the system, I wouldn't be surprised if Scheifele was moved this offseason for a large package, especially after the Jets' disappointing season. However it wouldn't be to Calgary. The Flames don't have the cap for Scheifele, and with their loaded forward core, they don't really have a need for him either.
