Yeah the pens wouldn’t accept that from any other team and would want more, division rivals would cost significantly more, the flyers/caps would cost even significantly more than that. It would be so not worth trading for a decent piece from Pittsburgh.

Yeah the pens don’t trade with the flyers and caps. So those teams would really needs to knock the pens socks off. Heck just for a 7th dman in the pens back to back cup years they needed to get TB involved as a 3rd team where Philly traded Streit to TB who then traded him to us.

Philly just gave Ristolainen a 5-year extension. They're stuck with that awful contract/player for a while. Overrated and overpaid, Dallas declines.

I'd rather throw a(nother) LHD on the right side of the blue line than take an awful contract for the next 5 years. In reality, if Dallas wants an overrated defenseman, they'll likely look at guys like Tyson Barrie or Tyler Myers. Personally, I'm not high on either of them, but I'd rather have their contracts than Ristolainen's.

No one is gonna take that Kevin Hayes contract without something big coming alongside it.

These are all hugely beneficial for Philly, except the Strome trade which is awful for Philly. Lol
