Not trying to be a jerk, just haven't been able to watch much hockey this year. What is going on with the Jets this year?

Scheifele is disinterested, Hellebuyck became a dad, their bottom six is trash.

All the trades are laughably bad for the Jets, but the Scheifele one deserves extra mention.

The Jets give up Scheifele, retain and add a prospect and only get Lafreniere. Hilarious.

I think Drury signs Copp to be 2C with the Rangers, Therefore Scheifele isn't needed.

Yep, and they got Copp for Morgan Barron and what will most likely be a pair of late 2nd round picks. No need to give up anything for Scheif.

Disinterested? Based off play alone? Didn't you guys get a new coach? Maybe a system issue?

I see it over here with the Sharks current head coach. The system doesn't match the players.

Yes disinterested, I'm pretty sure Scheifele's already made a trade request. Yes he looks mostly disinterested on the ice and his media interviews are off, can tell something is up with him.

Yeah Maurice "resigned" saying they "needed a new voice" but he was probably getting fired and it was just a graceful parting of ways and the new voice is a promoted assistant to be the interm head coach and that guy is one of the players dads, too funny, you'd think this was a small town kids team.. 🤣

Also the new voice hasn't made a difference and their record is the same if not slightly worse, something is rotten in that room and its likely the captain but they're loyal to him for some reason.

Oh the Jets systems suck and don't fit the makeup of the team at all, cant imagine its too fun trying to play that **** style of hockey.

Yeah as "disappointing" as Laffy has been (analytics say different), NYR won't trade him unless it is an ABSOLUTE steal. Only thing I can see is MTL giving up the 1st overall (or maybe 2nd overall) plus another good piece while also taking back Nemeth. Obviously this is an overpay but at this point I think that's what it would take to get NYR to give up on Laffy's potential. He did much better in Junior than Shane Wright and Logan Cooley (in USNTDP) just isn't at the same level.

Laffy's per 60 stats through his first 120 games are actually very encouraging when compared to other former top picks.

-They're are badly coached,
-Underperforming vets
-still a bad defence
-they seem to struggle to finish when they do get chances, which was their strength in years past

Is that the Sharks or the Jets?
