Description

Samberg and Heinola must be in the NHL by next season. Also, need a new coach and core shakeup.

I got zero clue what the jets do with their defenders but I guess we will see, I also hope they get a new coach that brings a whole new environment that doesn't have any emotional connection with the players and wont be afraid to make them uncomfortable.

With Scheifele, his play and criticism has made me really wonder about his value. Is a team going to give up a young center, a top RHD or some very good prospects for him I don't know? When you look at 55 this season doesn't it worry a GM to trade for a center with terrible defensive skills and questionable effort?

At the end of the game you can’t have Pulock and Dobson on the ice. I wouldn’t trade Pelech either and I probably wouldn’t trade Pulock but I’m still curious what you would offer.

Well if you had to retool the roster around Barzy and Dobson, I would assume Pulock is the most valuable asset to trade.

Trading for the PLAYER is the same risk. The packages may be different, but its the same risk. You're saying that Ottawa wouldn't trade for Schief if the price was right? Under no circumstances? Of course they would, if the cost was right. That's why what you're saying is NONSENSE.

It would be a hard trade to work as Dubois, Connor, Ehlers, Morrissey, Perfetti, and Samberg would be off the table from the start.

Not a huge fan of Morrissey anyway. I like Ehlers but that wouldn’t be a deal breaker either. I want Perfetti the same way you guys want Schneider. It isn’t happening lol.

Not crazy. Copp has fit in great and probably the nail in Strome's coffin because he will be cheaper to sign. He will be a good 2C behind Mika which also eliminates any need to trade for Schief....but that won't stop Jets fans from posting nonsense trades.

If I’d have been GM, it would have cost you Lundkvist for Copp… if you wouldn’t have done that, then you wouldn’t have him on your team right now.

His numbers won’t wow you but I really like Bellows. I promise I’m not trying to sell you on him. I watched Svechnikov skating with Dubois and Connor against the Isles and I thought to myself “Bellows must be better than him.”

Chevy made a bad deal with Copp. I would’ve done everything I could to resign him. If the rangers don’t keep him I would love to have him as Barzy’s left wing, but I know that won’t happen.

I think it’s most non Jets fans are hoping because Scheifele isn’t playing to his usual this season and seems unhappy, that they can somehow turn that into a rip off of the Jets…. Won’t happen

Problem is Copp wants a raise, Dubois needs a raise, and Wheeler is draining our cap.
Couldn’t keep Dubois, Scheifele, Wheeler and extend Copp… and at that point, (and currently as far as I know), Chevy was 100% keeping Scheifele… which meant Copp or Dubois had to go and Dubois isn’t going anywhere.
I’d have traded Scheifele at the TDL and kept Copp

As someone who has studied the Rangers farm for years. IMO they don’t have a prospect you can build a major offer around. Like all my buddies who didn’t play hockey in NY are rangers fans so I always try and be objective here. I would personally just try and get Othmann and picks. I like Lundkvist but I wouldn’t sacrifice getting a future first in order to get him. You don’t want to pull an Ottawa and trade a first line forward for the next Erik Brannstrom.
