I highly doubt he gets 9 anywhere. If he does it's an insane overpay.

try and land Husso as 1B, figure out WTF Mack Black is and go from there

Yea, Even if he's 9mil I could see the Devils maneuvering and moving on from andreas johnson to save money and allocate it to Forsberg. Andreas can be replaced by Boqvist easily. I could also see them parting with Bernier to save even more. I just threw the number out comparing it to some others, but FA is wild.

He's hit the 30 goal plateau 3 times only. Skinner was wildly overpaid and everyone knows that. Forsberg has fewer points in the last 4 years including this one than Tomas Hertl who signed for just a hair over 8mil and Hertl is a center, Top power play and top PK. They're from the same draft class. If Forsberg gets 9+ then IMO he is vastly overpaid.

I wouldn’t go past $8m on any UFA winger unless it’s for 5 years without full NMC. We do not need a scoring winger that badly.

I think Forsberg gets a lot of offers that beat 5 x $7. But I also think some guys may take less to play with Jack.

I would offer same deal to Bryan Rust at 4 years.

My guess - Forsberg gets 7 x $8.25 million

Minnesota wouldn't take on a Winger of any kind
