You talk about Greenway like he is God's gift to hockey LMAO he is just another Joel Armia, good 3rd or 4th liner who is overpaid for what he does by like 500-750k

No one is saying greenway is a greenway hockey player or dynamic. But he has finally found himself, playing like a monster and was rewarded by wild front office with 3 years deal

I never once said he was a cap dump. I traded him for a really good young defenceman. I don't want to argue, by all means please get off my feed and we don't have to argue

No, you traded greenway for a player who wouldn't even see time on wild AHL team

Greenway is ok but not any better than Armia and is definitely overpaid. You seem to think the Wild should get the world for him but let's be honest a prospect like Porrier for Greenway and a 4th or 6th is about his value.

Haha okay dude. Yop, greenway is worse than perrier. Yop, wild should add on to greenway to get perrier. Funny considering greenway has become an absolute monster, provide identity on wild 3rd line with foligno, and Joel Eriksson Ek.

This is hilarious cause let's be honest again, teams will make room for good hockey players no matter how many other good players they have in their systems or they will trade them for needs at other positions. Saying that the proposal is ridiculous cause you don't have room for him is an oxymoron in that it is ridiculous to reject a good trade. This is very good value for Greenway and while the Wild might have a ton of D prospects already none of them have proven anything more than Porrier has to this point.

Ok let's reverse roles here for a minute. Would you trade Calen Addison for Armia + 4th + 6th? Exactly the same package as the OP's (except Armia has 400k more cap). I know you aren't going to like this and will try to say that it is not the same but Porrier has the same value as Addison right now and both project to be top 4 D men.

According to you. Montreal fans need to get over themselves. No, he's not. Wild aren't dealing greenway in the 1st place. But to think they would fir a nothing d prospect is funny. Yeah, wild are going to make room for nothing d prospect over d prospect chosen in 1st round, two 2nd round picks and two 3rd round picks along with Calen addison whose already there and won't even have place in Minnesota next year.

But please do ignore the 3 years extension Guerin, you know wild gm gave to greenway which starts next year. Do tell me you watch wild a n.v d know the role of greenway on wild 3rd line identity line. Montreal fans like you and the other poster truly show you just ignore facts

You mean the same Calen addison who was selected in 2nd round and one of wild best d prospect who had already proven to play in Wild's playoff game? Difference between greenway and Armia, not only is age but greenway size has absolutely made him become A monster on ice. Greenway himself has provided identity to wild 3rd line of foligno, Joel Eriksson Ek

Yes, I do watch some wild games, I watch any game I can even if I dispise the teams playing LOL. Greenway's role is a powerforward who provides excellent puck retrieval in the offensive zone and some secondary scoring (same as Amia's). Both are very good possession players as well. I didn't say that the Wild were looking to trade Greenway, I said the value was there, there is a big difference. The fact that you think Porrier is a nothing D prospect is hilarious (and you say we don't watch hockey lol).

LMAO, Armia 6'4" 218 lbs that is not a small guy and Greenway is not much bigger or younger. He is only 3 years younger, 2 inches taller and 7 lbs heavier. To put that into perspective for you the weight difference is a 10 lbs bag of potatoes and the height difference is a thumb length. So yes they are exactly the same types of players in exactly the same role at almost the exact same age.

Like I said the Wild might not be trading Greenway since the just resigned him but the value is there, even if it doesn't fill the Wild's need the value is spot on. Also nice how you tried to shift the focus from what Greenway was after I proved I know what he is and what he is worth.

Of course, it's exciting - lots of new picks and prospects...are Habs fans not allowed to be excited about that in your eyes, Mr. MaCavoy?

hehe, at least we didn't mortgage the future for a man who will be 37 when his extension expires

*36.

Calling a guy a genius after dumping a couple guys seems premature. Trading guys for futures is easy. Building a good team is hard. Ask buffalo.

Yeah Greenway is the Wild version of Armia

He wants to trade the 33-35 overall pick plus another 2nd, an A (B+) level prospect harris, a 1st rounder who finally started playing like the playing we hoped he'd be poehling for a 3rd line C makimg 4.8M a year ?!?!?! Hughes should get fired for it

LMAO, please stop making yourself look bad it's hard not to troll you. So now we have established that they have the same role, size and are close in age. Now you say Greenway is better, let's compare stats side by side to see how true this really is. Armia has 1-30 point season and usually averages about 20 points , Greenway has 1-30 point season and usually averages 20 points. Greenway has 18 points this year on one of the top teams in the league, Armia has 11 points (7 point difference) on the worst team in the league. Definitely looks like they are equally skilled players.

Correction:

MIDDLE SIX POWER FORWARD

Greenway>>>Porrier.

Greenway is 1/3 of the best shutdown line in hockey. You're vastly overrating a prospect and vastly undervaluing Greenway. Both in his value and as a player.

No, TBH I like Greenway just as much as I like Armia both are good at their roles. I would just rather have either one at 2.25-2.5 than over 3 Mil.

Greenway has a market value of $5M, and a GSVA of 1.2, his contract is solid for where he slots into the lineup and what his role is. He's not overpayed or a 4th liner as you claim he is.

While Armia's market value is $600k, with a GSVA of -0.1, he's the one who's a 4th liner and is definitely overpaid.

The two are not close. One is extremely good for his role, the other is extremely bad at it. One is a positive asset, the other a negative.
