Why are we trading for another LHD when we have so many of our own.

People are more quiet now when it comme to Habs trade ahaha. There was not a lot of positive for us this year but this trade deadline was a Hugues succes!

It was a long 24 hours for a lot of us knowing MTL was sellers
After TDL i shut off hockey and turned on Wrestling for the night
Needed to detox a bit from hockey overload

Savard for Faksa makes more sense for both teams then Petry in DAL even further from his family
If Canada opens up the boarders again i dont think he wants to leave MSL to be honest
Its that he's only allowed exemption accross the boarder to start and end the season
Pretty sure he just missed the birth of his 4th kid when he asked for the Trade out if memory serves

I think thats why Hughes keeps saying he doesnt feel obligated to move him at a loss
Saying if the deals not right he wont move him

in this DAL trade MTL and DAL get what they need without losing anything in a Hockey Trade
Savard and Faksa are on similar deals in similar bottom 4/6 leadership roles
Faksa has size and can win bulk faceoffs
Savard is a Right shot on a team with 6 total of which 1 asked for a trade and 1 is buried in AHL

IF we move Petry IMO its to MIN ,CHI,DET,PIT,CBJ,STL,NSH,BUF,or maybe PHI
The rest are Further from his Family then MTL or in Canada making it a non option thanks to Canadian Gov't being the only ones not letting citizens leave (like in the world)
Its hurt us a lot with certain American players especially if they have young kids

Even if it lifts at this point until a cure is out no American will trust signing outside USA
We saw it in NBA with Dragic getting traded to TOR
He did everything he could to force a trade including insulting Canada as a whole online
He sat out rather then play training with his former team spending time with his family
Raptors only got better in an effort to show him how much he's really not needed or welcome

Excellent quote. There no need to trade Petry when is value is at is lowest point. I totally expect him to bounce back and he will be a precious pieces next year when they brought in Barron, Guhle and Harris. Savard is now expendable since he doesn’t fit much the way St-Louis want to play.
