Description
Yea I'm still on the Chychrun to the Leafs bandwagon and I already made a similar team like this but hear me out while I go more in depth on the description here!

when the playoffs begin I'd assume (if this were to somehow possibly happen) Rielly and Chychrun would pair together, Brodie-Holl would remain second pair, and the 3rd pair could get mixed from time to time, Sandin with Liljegren or Lyubushkin, or Muzzin with either of the two (Sandin on the right has not worked so no use in doing that again) and the 4th line along with 3rd LW could also be mixed up (Kase and Kampf are great together like Matthews and Bunting are they should not dare separate them!). I also included Brett Seney in the scratched list since he's currently the Marlies leading scorer and they're slated to play Providence in round 1 of their playoffs if standings stick, we all know how Torontos teams face up against Bostons, even the affiliates of said teams 🥲 so I bet he'd be in the Leafs lineup first once they'd get eliminated/next season if Spezza does decide to hang up the skates. also before anyone gives me **** about all the picks being given away if it were me doing these deals, Dubas did set precedents pretty high when he gave up a first and other early round picks/good prospects for Foligno and Clifford years prior, so what would you expect teams to want in return for a future hall of famer and one of the hottest D-men in the league? just saying.

as for off-season deals, again should this even happen first, a 3 way trade between the Leafs, Penguins, and Knights could make a lot of sense. Leafs can sign and trade Fleury to Pittsburgh with Holl, the Pens send Domingue to Toronto, cuz the Leafs are a kinda screwed outside of Campbell and maybe Kallgren, Letang can do a sign and trade to Vegas, and Vegas can send the Leafs a less pricey D-man of theirs. bing bang boom LOL (*Adam Sandler in Uncut Gems "This is how I win"*) seriously though this would be the Leafs going all in this year and maybe even next year should they have the money to sign back some of these guys, so there ya have it. I hope something like this happens, but obviously its highly unlikely even one of these would but whatever, one can hope

Drop Mrazek and you have a deal. If you want us to take him you've got to give up a better prospect.

Not nearly enough for Chychrun. They already said they want a Brent Burns type package for him (Basically 3 1st rounders) Which means it'll cost one of Sandin or Liligren+ a first, + Amirov (who is pretty much untradeable at this point in time) or Robertson, + a 1st rounder

Not only that, but Hutchinson has zero value in trade. CHI could take him but not as a piece that adds value to the trade in any way. In which case, what reason does TOR have to move him...

well both the Hawks and Rockford would probably need a goalie so that's why both are there, as laughable as it might sound Hutch can maybe provide Rockford with a teeny tiny bit of stability considering they're not even in a playoff spot themselves. and Suomela actually provides depth and would be 4th in team scoring should he be playing for the Icehogs, I think y'all would like him. not to mention theres lots of picks in the deal too, imagine we collapse after this deal, Chicago gets blessed. right now its a win win for both teams really the way I see it

Probably Robertson and several early rounders then, cuz I don't see Dubas moving either of Sandin or Liljegren

I’m a leafs fan and Chychrun would probably start with one of Sandin or Liljegren and a 1st. The term and cap hit has undeniable value, and the top D men signed to term would be

Reilly - Brodie
Chychrun - Holl
Muzzin - Liljegren/Lyubushkin/Dermott

There’s too many LD and Arizona would probably want a top tier D man back.

I don’t think there’s a fit. Sandin fits our timeline better, and is cost controlled for longer.

First scenario would try to make the Leafs cap compliant. Players can't hide on LTIR all season and next season because you want to acquire players.
Then you mentioned sign and trade with Vegas for Letang? Just what Vegas wants....more big cap Dmen.

Mrazek is a massive cap dump. He's going to cost around a 1st to dump (or two 2nds). Add that on top of a 1st for Fleury. Suomela probably has, like, a 5th rounder worth of value, a top 6 AHL forward doesn't really help you that much, 4th at max. Hutchinson has so little value it's negligible, maybe a 6th? I get you want to convince me, but the stats of the players you offer just isn't there. My counter-offer:

TOR:
Marc-Andre Fleury (50% Retained)

CHI:
Petr Mrazek
Michael Hutchinson
Nick Abruzzese
2023 First Round Pick (TOR)
2022 Second Round Pick (TOR)
2023 Second Round Pick (TOR)

or

CHI:
Petr Mrazek
Michael Hutchinson
Nicolas Robertson
2022 Second Round Pick (TOR) or 2023 Second Round Pick (TOR)

(can be conditional based on whatever you wish)
