He is better than both. And we still have Holl and Lily anyways. So they can always be put in the line up. DEPTH is important to have.

That is not too much for Chiarot. It is more than fair.

Chiarot is literally ass. For a guy who provides no offence you would hope for some quality defence but nope! He regularly gets dominated in his own end. His only positive is the fact that he is physical, and I could find some scrub in the AHL to do that for free

Just saying, the Leafs are better off with the picks and Dermott than a rental of Chiarot. I should have said it’s just too expensive for the Leafs.

Dermott has similar value to SDA in my mind. I think Montreal would be better taking Dermott over SDA to be honest. But it's a 2nd and 3rd, instead of a 1st from me. If they can get the 1st, all the power to Montreal.

It is actually not enough, not because of value but because Montreal doesn't need Dermott as our LD is too over crowded already.

Dermott can play left or right. Montreal needs depth. They have a lot of 19-20 year old left dman. Getting Dermott means they can let those guys develop a bit longer before throwing them to the Montreal Wolves. Plus Dermott would get more of an opportunity in Montreal. I don't see him being a bad pickup for them at all.

You realize how ridiculous of a statement this is right?! Chiarot has more goals than any Leafs Dman and more points than half of them.

This is the Leafs offer. Something on these lines. I don't see them parting with a 1st for Chiarot. Unless Montreal also adds a pick . Which is possible. Montreal may get the 1st elsewhere though and that's fine.

I am just showing this from a Leafs perspective.

We can keep Chiarot as well to play the right side.

Dermott isn't bad but even if we traded Chiarot we also have Kulak who is Montreal's version of Dermott anyway and he also plays both sides and wouldn't cost a ton to resign either.

He is a UFA... Dermott is signed next year and is an RFA.

Montreal is going to trade Chiarot. That is for certain. So no they will not keep him. They could always trade him and then re-sign him in the offseason as well.

Leafs need a goalie if they trade Mrazek. So he was essential to the deal :P.

See my edit above for an additional reason to to take Dermott. Also yes they can keep Chiarot and will if they don't like the offers they get.

There isn’t any payment in there for Stolarz though

That’s only the bare minimum cost to dump Mrazek

Career back ups are worth a 3rd at most usually. So I will add that if needed.

That’s not very impressive considering he plays PP1. If you are trying to say Chiarot is a good offensive player you need help

Manson provides minimal offence as well, you are correct. The difference is that Manson is actually a positive for his team defensively; whereas Chiarot is not

Guess you don't actually watch any habs games. Not at all surprised as they've been horrible for 3/4ths of the year

Chiarot doesn't play PP1 Petry does and PP2 is Wideman half the time and Chiarot the other half. Where did I say Chiarot was good offensively, I just pointed out he has more goals than ANY Leafs D and more points than half of them. I see you are just FAILING to troll the Habs so I will leave you to it and not respond anymore. Have a great night!
