You are trading the wrong goalie. If Mazek was playing elsewhere and you were in this predicament would he even be part of your list?

No he wouldn't be, but the point of the thread was to gauge the value of Mrazek as well as other goalies around the league who have struggled this season.

I figured but would something like Mrazek + Kokkonen for Korpisalo make sense for Columbus? Or Mrazek + 3rd?

He's out week to week, I think Georgiev and Mrazek could benefit from a change in scenery though. Plus we have NHL goalies in the minors who can at least play a game or so.

Bernier for Mrazek could be interesting. Bernier’s career may be done, so would go to LTIR. Devils can’t use LTIR and would pay Mrazek less than Bernier (and would get an active goalie). Leafs would get the cap relief (but would have to find another netminder).

To answer, Mazrek has negative value compared to all other goalies. The contract along with his ability to stay healthy are not good. Bury Mazrek in the minors, while on waiver maybe some team takes him. Leafs will have an additional 1.2 mil in cap space. Try to move him in the off season. Pick up Hammond MTL...he has been playing very well for a poor Habs team and has playoff experience going to finals with Ott.

Oh shoot that sucks to hear, Bernier was a warrior here sucks to hear he's had health issues. But that does seem like an ideal trade for both sides, Toronto could probably sweeten the pot a little too if that makes it worth it for the devils even more

While Greiss will be far from expensive Detroit is not looking for round 2 with Mazrek.

Why would Detroit want Mrazek back? he's not very good i'd rather give Holtby a 2 year deal until Sebastian Cossa is ready.
