Ideally I’d want to trade guys like Paul and Forsberg but I think Dorion is debating keeping both. But if he were to trade Forsberg, I would do this

Forsberg will be a solid 1B goalie imo but he's hot right now and if he can keep it up for the season it's worth it for the Leafs.

Dorion should extend Paul and Forsberg to reasonable contracts before the TDL or move them for picks.

I’d want to keep Forsberg, has been cosistently good and could be the best goalie available if MAF is not on the market. He provides so much more stability than Murray which is what you want as a young team.

If the Sens don't re-sign him before the TDL he's probably moving anyways to give Gustavsson a shot. This is a pretty solid return for a relatively unproven goalie.

I'll copy/paste what I said in other ACGMs involving Forsberg

"Considering that Murray is one hit away from being put on LTIR for the rest of his contract, Sens need Forsberg and won't risk ruining Gustavsson by putting all the pressure on his shoulders. Sogaard and Merilainen are very young and a few years away

Need to re-sign Forsberg. A 3rd doesn't accomplish anything

I know there's a little pushback but I'd take the 2nd. Better off moving him at the deadline to a contender if hes still without an extension. A 2nd would be a great return and is the same price they paid to get Murray so if anything it could then be used by Ottawa to acquire another goalie to fill the void left by Forsberg.

A late 2nd is nice but if we're trading him to the Leafs who desperately need him I'd be pushing for a 3rd and William Villeneuve.
Villeneuve is far from ready but assuming at least ONE of Thomson and/or JBD will be in Ottawa next year we need another RHD in BELLEVILLE.

Toronto fans may this that's too big an ask but let me lay some reality on you:

In his last 21 games, Jack Campbell is rocking an 874 sv% and has been pulled in 3 of his last 10 starts.
He's played TBL twice - 903 sv% He has yet to face FLA, and is now out for at least 2 weeks.

In Forsberg's last 21 games he has a 925 sv%. He's played TBL twice - 963 sv% He's played FLA twice - 941 sv%. And he's also played CAR twice - 946 sv%.
This guy could be the difference in going deep or another first round elimination... and Toronto is not the only team interested.

He could be a solution but if you look at the rest of Forsberg's career I don't think is current level of play is sustainable; he seems like a 0.90X sv% goalie. Goalies don't pick up that much value after 20 something regular season games. The Leafs paid less than a 2nd for Jack Campbell.

I think a 2nd is the max I'd give up. There's a chance Campbell or Mrazek get hot before playoffs.

The trade deadline is in 10 days. The Leafs can NOT go into the playoffs with two goalies that are ice cold and hope one of them finds their game again. Mrazek has shown no signs of life in Toronto and Campbell won't even play again until the deadline passes. The pressure to win a round this year is far too real; jobs are very much at stake.
