I think you're a little too flames orientated. Lindholm winning the Bergeron trophy is nor happening. The Jennings is likely going to Andersen and Raanta, and Rod's probably the favorite for the Jack Adams given that half the team was changed with the MAJOR chances to blow up and he's somehow avoided all those icebergs. Shesterkin would also be my favorite for the Hart.

I'm just putting this out there but if the Canucks make the playoffs Miller should be a Hart candidate over McDavid

Bergeron is starting to age, and while he was my pre-season fave for the selke, i think Lindholm should get it. The jennings has been a dog fight all year, so unless one of the teams gives up a couple 7 goal games, its a tie. If shesty gets over 45 wins, he wins hart, and if matthews gets over 60 goals, he wins it. I think matthews goal is a little more acheivable

Jack Adams… i would say there are a few coaches that could win that. Darryl Sutter (CGY), Todd McLellan (LAK), Gerard Gallant (NYR).

Calgary posted a total of 55 points in 56 games last season, and now has 75 points in 56 games this season. That’s a HUGE upgrade from last season, in the same amount of games they got 20 more points!

LA posted a total of 49 points in 56 games last season, and now have 71 points in 58 games this season! Again, that’s a huge upgrade, and while they have played 2 more games than the flames, they still have a impressive 22 more points this season so far.

Now, New York posted a total of 60 points in 56 games last season, and now have 77 points in 57 games this season. That is again a huge upgrade, and while they have played 1 more game than the flames they have 17 more points this season so far.

All 3 teams have been playing way better than their last season, and I wouldn’t be mad if it was anyone of those coaches that got that award.

Dude calling someone bias and then saying your team is going to win a bunch of awards is textbook kettle calling the pot black.

Making the playoffs in the west isn't a huge accomplishment. The Canucks are almost 10 points out if they were in the east. If they make the playoffs it's because they are less weak than the weak teams a head of them.

I think Gallant should be taken off your list. While the Rangers have a good record, that is entirely because of Shesterkin. He's been insane this season.

Of course Shesterkin has been very good, but would they be as good without Gallant... it’s hard to say. I would still put him in the runnings, as I don’t care how good you are, but nobody can stop 100% of the shots. The team has been helping him a bit. Also, without Kreiders scoring too, I don’t think they would be as good. They have 5 guys that are on pace for having 20+ goal seasons. Last few seasons they only had 2-3 guys over 20. Without him, I don’t think these guys would be playing as well.

If you look at their underlying numbers they shouldn't be a playoff team. Shesterkin has won them something like 10 games they shouldn't have won.

The difference is, Carolina are one of the best teams in the league, and I said they'll likely win the one they're already leading and Rod retains his Jack Adams... not exactly bias...

Nope. I didn't suggest anything unreasonable. The two awards I suggested are the ones that the guy currently has, and the one that the team is leading right now...

Colorado has a better record than Carolina. Carolina is supposed to be good. There are teams that aren't supposed to be good who are better than expected. LA was supposed to be a lottery team again for example.

They were? They traded Nedeljkovic away for nothing. Didn't bring back Dougie. Brought in DeAngelo and two goalies with a history of injuries, replaced half the bottom six, came into the year with half the D core being new. A LOT of people picked Carolina to be a WC team, and they are within spitting distance of the best record in the NHL...

I get there's other candidates, but people forget the uncertainty there was this summer with Carolina.

No one cares. The Metro was wide open and many picked them to win it.

The Metro is the bloodbath of the NHL, it could have gone any of like 5 ways. Most people picked the Islanders to win it...

Seider, Zegras, Lundell >

Not just because Bunting's 26 but because he plays with Marner and Matthews. Not trying to discredit him but that definitely boosts stats like point totals.

I doubt it, but that’s alright! Gallant has definitely been a game changer on that rangers team, and he should be getting some votes.

Most foolish people and it's hardly a blood bath. The Atlantic is a real bloodbath. You can finish 3rd in that division and have enough points to win the Pacific and challenge for 1st in the other two divisions.

Remember when Panarin won? Played with Kane and was older. Seider is really good no doubt but we all know points generally win you the Calder.

Doesn't mean it'll happen again. Seider, as a D-man, has just 4 less points while playing on the Top pairing at just 20 years old on a bottom 10 team. That should get a lot of people to vote for him. But I fear that Raymond could take too many votes away from Mo to win it.

Definitely Raymond and Seider are deserving as well. I just hate that Bunting won't get as much credit for a hell of a rookie season.
