TBH id be more interested in a De Haan extension, he's tight with Tavares. The going rate for a defensive defenceman is 1.5 x 3, I'd be open to that. Id bet Fluery is going to Montreal or Pittsburgh

I’d still rather it than the Mrazek contract. Plus, if Fleury can’t play out the contract then Leafs can use it as LTIR space. Also, wouldn’t be a hard contract to move to another team to use as LTIR. Goodness teams have considered taking Weber’s 7+ mil aav contract for the same purpose

Montreal is not trading for Fleury, we are not a playoff team and have no hope of becoming one. We are trading our UFA's we aren't going to buy someone else's. And unless Fleury signs for less than 3 Mil in the off season we aren't going after him then either.

What no I meant he might go there in the offseason, it would make zero sense at the deadline

No, teams aren't taking on Weber's contract for cap space. It doesn't work like that. Now, maybe Arizona takes him for cap floor purposes. I don't know why the Leafs would sign both Campbell and Fleury, which they can't afford anyway.

Hands down Flowers is a better goal tender then Mrazek, Mrazek is an overpaid backup and the Hawks likely decline this trade knowing that unless they can flip him for something.

Flowers has said he wants to potentially play for 1 or 2 more seasons so the extension wouldn't be 3 years.

Ok yeah sorry that could happen OF he was willing to sign a cheap deal to play backup or tandem with Carey
