PHI will get a better offer.

And why would they want NAK back?

Thats not how LTIR works (Weber) and if it would indeed works like you think it is, acquiring 8 millions in cap space would cost a first +, not a fifth

I honestly don't know how it works, Cause There are people saying that LTIR room has no advantage other than not using cap on an injured player, and others say that it does what I did on this. Also didn't Brent Seabrook get traded for a 2nd and a roster player for the LTIR? There probably is an advantage somewhere

All it cost is money. It doesn;t cost against the cap, but you can acquire assets for paying somebody to sit at home. TB has won back to back titles so they have cash NOW, but took Seabrook in exchange to replenish their picks.

A team like TOR is rich, but can only PLAY 81.5mil worth of players, doesn;t mean they cant acquire a LTIR who wont play again in exchange for assets. Thats why only rich or currently rich teams or teams lacking futures will take an LTIR.

The other side is IR players, like BUF took Johnny Boychuk on IR, because they needed his cap hit to hit the cap floor. They haven;t moved him to LTIR, because they NEED the cap hit.

    this is just awful.
You cant do that with webers contract, Kuemper is the better goalie, MAF is not worth downgrading while giving up more assets
EJ is not waiving and hes not a negative asset. A worse DMan in Duncan Keith got a 3rd round pick and a young Dman back

I agree with you with Kuemper, hes better. But He doesn't have playoff success, and we need to win this year. MAF had a similar team in pittsburg, and he comfortably landed 2 cups. He's older and a little less good, but he has that experience. EJ is also good, but probably not tradable for the contract he has.

There is so much just wrong here. COL would have to fit Weber under the cap then place him on LTIR then they could use the space. So that doesn’t happen. EJ has an NMC so that doesn’t happen. Kuemper has been better than MAF, and Sakic gave up a 1st and a top D prospect for him, so he’s through half a season going to jettison him. Yeah that’s not happening. And the Giroux trade doesn’t work because the other lame brained schemes don’t work.

MAF greatest myth maybe his playoff success. No cup wins in Vegas, and in the last 2 SC wins in PIT he wasn’t the goalie who closed it out it was Murray. But everybody loves the other guy especially if he is old and has a back story.
