1st 2 are fine. The Van trade is terrible.

Garland and Debrusk same age, same production, both wings that can’t play center, both suck defensively. Same player. Not giving up extra pieces especially the 1st.

Except one player has asked for a trade.

So? What’s your point? It does not change who he is or his trade value.

lol, Debrusk gets more time on the PK than Garland does. Calm down. Nobody is confusing them for Selke candidates.

Just because he doesn’t play on the PK doesn’t mean he’s not good defensively. I’m not saying he’s a Selke candidate but he’s pretty good defensively

I’d say asking for a trade does hurt value a bit.

It does not. It’s a fan myth.

Teams try to low ball. Sure. Depends on players leverage. But that has nothing to do with actual value. And Boston has made it clear they get what they want for him or don’t move him.

It’s a myth huh. I’ll give 2 examples of 2 trades the kings made.

    Carter for jack Johnson

Gaborik for Matt frattin. Just saying. Don’t get bent out of shape lol. But it can lower the value.

    Carter - JJ and a 1st

Gaborik a pending UFA- Frattin 2nd and 3rd

    You left out some pieces.

And then there is PLD who sulked and tanked. Still got Laine and Roslovic. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s all about circumstances. Fans make a far bigger deal out of it then front offices do

You don't honestly believe that Garland and DeBrusk are *that* comparable, do you? One has 39 goals and 74 points over the past three years with the Boston Bruins. The other has 48 goals and 109 points over the past three years with the freaking Arizona Coyotes and Vancouver Canucks, not to mention is an objectively better defensive player and play-maker. Maybe a first or an A prospect is too steep, but give me Garland for DeBrusk and "pieces" any day.

They both have averaged the same amount of goals per 82 games for their caereer. Throw out last years dumpster fire and Debrusk is even better. Garland averages a couple of more assists per 82 games and is a better creator.

But yes very comparable. Garland is highly overrated and Debrusk is criminally underrated due to last year. 🤷🏻‍♂️ On this site anyway.
