I don't think it makes sense for us to trade Max when his value is at his lowest. It will be better for us to ride this season out and see how he does with a fresh start once his wrist injury is fully healed.

I'll keep saying it. Comtois is at his lowest value rn. No reason to trade him. That said, I bet we try to retain as much value as we can from the offseason. Or better yet, we let Eakins go give him more mins in the top 6 next year and then trade him for a better package idk. Not like hes a gonna be a UFA next season.

Zadina basically similar numbers. Comtois had one good season last year with 33 points in 55 games. Outside of that not so much.

"Outside of that"? That's the kind of comment that would be justified if he had one good season and several meh campaigns. Comtois played in 55 games last year. "Outside of that," he had played in only 39 games over parts of two seasons. His performance this year has been affected by injury to, and surgery on, his wrist. Your intimation that he might be a flash in the pan is unwarranted, just as the nonsense that Alex Lafreniere or Kaapo Kakko are busts is unwarranted. We'll all just have to wait and see.

His value is as low as it has ever been therefore no reason to make him

Between his hand injury and being misused (or not used at all) has been bad for him thus far as well this year

I still think Comtois can and will be a good 2nd line LW or a great 3rd line LW
