Description

I'm trying to be as fair as I can be (as a Kings fan).

I think that Arizona is going to insist on getting at least two roster players if they trade Chychrun at all. I also think that because they already have three first-round picks this year, they would prefer our 2023 first in a deal for him.

From various threads I've seen on CapFriendly in the last few days, I think that this is a fair offer for Travis Konecny. Both prospects should be viable NHLers.

I put Alex Edler on the injured list instead of the LTIR list to show that there's cap room once he returns from rehabbing. That allowed me to put two guys I think may get late call-ups on the LTIR list without disturbing the main roster. Note that there's still cap room for one of them, too.

He is underrated around the league and overrated by Kings fans. He is not a top line player and more suited for middle six. If you are deep enough to have him on your third line that would be ideal. Chychrun is the more impactful player by a long shot.

Vilardi or Turcotte (I’d prefer vilardi), grans, 23 1st (top 5 protected), maata to get the cap to work, and say maybe a 3rd. Could negotiate off that but as a yotes fan I’d want the extra pick but not blow the deal over it.

Are you saying Iafallo, Turcotte, Anderson-Dolan, Grans, our 2022 first and 2023 second for Konecny and Provorov? 'Cause I would certainly go for that.

Don't agree. He's absolutely a top six guy, if not a top line guy. If he were a center, he'd be in the conversation for the Selke.

Consider that he's on a long-term, team friendly contract and he'd be one of the last Kings forwards I would consider trading.

Talk about overrated. Chychrun has had exactly one good season in his career. He's in the middle of a poor showing this season. If it were a case of him being the best defenseman on a bad team that would be one thing, but he's been jumped by Gostisbehere as the #1 defenseman on the Coyotes. He's not even on the 1PP any longer.

Maybe the Kings should ask Arizona if Ghost is available instead.

Flyers pass on that, nothing of value really. I don’t think the Kings could trade for both Chychrun and TK as both teams want an overlay especially Philly

I like Iafallo but just think he shouldnt be untouchable. His offense has dried up the last couple months also.
I agree about Ghost and thought they were stupid to pass him up on waivers when they had the chance to get him free.
