Avs arent giving any assets for Bailey

its an idea i took from https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/560660?post_id=3031423 that i found interesting

for the record I think COL targeting Bailey is a terrible idea. He has negative value as far as im concerned - even 50% retained I wouldnt take him for free

His play has fallen off of a cliff and hes 32 with 2.5 years left at a 5M cap hit. No thanks

Makes a ton of sense for the Isles. Makes no sense for Colorado

That makes literally no sense for the Avs. They have 3 UFA’s that make more sense to sign than the ever shrinking Bailey. This is a pretty easy no.

I don't want to agree with this but unfortunately I'm leaning that way too. Wilde looks very much like the sort of guy we need, but we'd need him to be NHL-ready and we really don't want to deal with controversy issues. And if it doesn't work out and we end up with basically "this blueline, minus Gavrikov", that'd be a disaster.

I want it to work but I fear the heavy potential consequences of it not working.
