Description
You don't stand there and watch when your captain, the guy wearing a 'C', gets clobbered after the whistle. You don't stand there and ignore what happened when one of your best defensemen gets checked to the head after a big hit. I don't care what happens 5 minutes after that play, you make a statement by retaliating right after the play

I could see Arizona entertaining that. Crouse would be a really solid addition for Toronto for a lot of reasons.

That RD depth is real rough though, if you want someone good but not afraid to get scrummy after the whistle bring in Gio and move Brodie back to the right side

A win is nice and all but by getting pushed around, you're sending a message to other teams that "do anything to our star players and we will watch, stare, then skate away and not retaliate"

What has losing have to do with retaliating? You can win games and retaliate at the same time, this Leafs team is way too soft and fragile unfortunately. The Flames throw hits, retaliate to plays they don't like, and still win games
