I agree, these last 30 some games are his audition. With Norris, Stutzle and Pinto as the 1,2,3 C penciled in for next year, it's going to be tough for him to break the roster and you can't run a $4M centre on the 4th line. He might be battling for a 3rd line winger spot, but those are Brown and Paul's spots to lose. I don't see them trading Paul after getting that charity all set up for him although it would be an Ottawa thing to do (see Turris, Duch, Karl).

It's unfortunate for White, he's a great locker room guy, a glue guy and it's absolutely hilarious to listen to his pressers, he's just making 1.5M too much if he can't return to form. And if it doesn't work out, buy out is the way to go, it's cheap and you don't have to pay to get rid of him.

i think he may stick around depending on what a contract for norris looks like. If norris gets bridged I think he may stick round and just be an overpaid 3rd liner for next year maybe the year after
