I think that the Islanders are going to much prefer Koskinen and your 2022 first to Smith and your 2023 first.

i’d take the 23 first with how stacked that draft is going to be but yeah it’d be ideal to get koskinen over smith

I think Nemo is doing an excellent job anchoring the 3rd pair. Ceci is also an excellent 3rd pair defenseman and just a good 2nd pair guy, so he can slot anywhere on the right. With Keith just there and no way we can get rid of him when he comes back.. I feel like the right side needs to be bolstered.
Get rid of Barrie first then look for options.

I think at this point we can afford to keep Koskinen with how he’s been playing and trade Smith+ for a goalie with a low cap hit if available. Plus he has a modified NTC so it’d be harder to find a team to trade Koski to.

Habs and Oilers fans alike believe a swap of Barrie and Hoffman is good for both teams. So it this case MTL gets a 3rd as well. Wideman isn't worth a bag of pucks so I guess EDM takes him as favour too. I personally don't believe the swap isn't particularly good for either team. So I especially believe this trade is even worse for EDM.

Habs don’t want Barrie you can keep him and his worse contract than hoffman’s. Habs need a right d, not a 13th forward on a terrible contract
