Are you high? A 1st and 2nd for Hagel, plus other players. Shake their hand and run!

How is a third liner gonna get Robertson AND a first? We could call Robertson up and probably get similar production. People are off their rocker on Hagel's value.

How large is the gun pointed at Dubas to make him trade one of the fastest players in the league, a solid 5/6th DMan who's RFA and LD/RD a solid Center prospect AND a 1st and 2nd for a player they will shove on a third line in a , get this, checking role!

Leafs have their LW filled for their top 6, so they do not need another fringe point getter who's having a good year. Bunting and Kerfoot are filling that role quite nicely.

Sure he's a good player, not a proven top 6 forward or has any playoff experience, 0.5 ppg in the NHL so far. If he's all the rage, why is he in trade talks?

Bolded answers itself. He is in the trade talk because he is all the rage.

He's paving 50 points this year, is 23 years old, is locked up for 2 more seasons after this at bargain bin pricing, and is an RFA after that too. Most ELC's dont have near that value and if Robertson did he would have been in the lineup now.

For more context on him: As a Fpames fan I've watch Mangiapane over the previous 3 seasons grow into the player he is now. My father is a hawks fan so he told me a bout Hagel last year so ive checked him out too for over a year now. What I can tell you is that Hagel's playstyle and development is very very similar to Mangiapane's and is about at the same level as Mange was 2 years ago.

If you know anything about Hagel and his playstyle you would know he doesnt need previous playoff experience to thrive in a playoff setting

Or, and here me out on this, a player who puts up ~50 points this year as a sophomore and probably more in the next 2 years is worth a **** ton at 1.5M

I’d go for Amriov because Robertson is injured too much

I think that may be a bit greedy, don't think they would move Amirov but he should be able to get any of Robertson/Knies/Nemela along with a 1st

He hasn't put up 50 points. On pace stats are the stupidest thing ever. He's not a 50 point guy until he actually gets 50 points.

He has 27 points in 46 games riding a really high shot % playing most of the time with Pat Kane. He isn't That isn't worth a 1st AND Robertson.

We could probably call up Robertson and plug him next to Tavares and have him put up the same numbers.

If Toronto could call up Robertson and get that kind of production from him they would have already.

I fully expect him to be up in the near future. Only reason why he wasn't was because of injury. You acting like 27 points in 46 games playing with a top player is some big achievement is hilarious. We literally picked up Bunting for nothing in the offseason and had him do the exact same thing. I guess Bunting is worth a 1st and Pelletier now.

Ok first of all Bunting is not 23, he is 26. And yes if Bunting was made available he would return a lot.

Also Pelletier > Robertson lol

He wouldn't lmao. He'd probably get a 1st. He wouldn't get a top prospect on top of that.

If Bunting was at a PPG and not being carried by a top player he would. That's not the case though. Same thing with Hagel. He's a 3rd liner. It's not like he's a center or some defensive stud either. A 1st + Robertson is the return for a top line guy.

Right now, I'd say Pelletier is slightly above Robertson. Kind of splitting hairs though. Both are at a PPG in the AHL and are what I'd consider to be top prospects.

I think you really underrate how effective multi year cheap contracts are. Coleman got a 1st and a top prospect for 2 years of him at like 1.5M and he was in his late 20's. Hagel is 23 and a 2-way power forward

I'm not underrating it. I think he'll get a 1st + ok prospect. A first + a top prospect just as the base for a middle 6 guy is insane though. That's like what I'd expect for JT Miller. A guy that's a legit top 6 PPG player.
