he is no where comparable to savard. Chiarot has been so bad this year i wouldn't give a third for him. the only comparable is they're both defensemen

He's trash, anyone saying otherwise is clueless. I'd been watching most of the Canadians games this season and his individual suck has been a constant. Out of position too often, too slow to recover when he gets caught so he defaults to taking penalties, gets walked way too often, not good at getting the puck out or making a good first pass, cant seem to follow/recognize the play in his own end, no real offensive upside. He'd be a liability on any contending teams 3rd pairing. I will actually be in tears if that's St.louis's answer to their defensive struggles.

There's a bunch out there that could be had. Lindholm, Chych, Soucy, Giordano, Leddy, Chara, maybe De Haan, Kulak, maybe Graves, maybe Staal, maybe Dillon, perhaps even a few more.
