I don’t want any part of big-piece trades for rentals (ie JT Miller). And I don’t want any big -piece trades for defensemen (ie Chychrun). Really the only player out there I’d do a “big” trade for is Garland because he has term left. But not in this AGM.

Habs fans will say that’s not enough, but Gorton likes Kravtsov and I’m pretty sure the bad blood is with Kravtsov and Drury, so that’s like a first, a second, and a French Canadian winger toss in for Lehks and Kulak (for depth/injury insurance)

Kessel is for depth on the wing and for ***playoff experience***. He’s also a dirt cheap acquisition. Supposedly Arizona can’t get any takers for him at half retained for a 3rd, so hopefully a 4th with no retention gets it done. And NY is uniquely able to take on his whole cap hit this year.

Nemeth just gotta go because we can’t afford him after this year. If Hajek is the cost of making that happen, so be it.
