You say that like Philly has a ton of leverage - Giroux has allegedly said he'll only go to three teams so there may be a limited bidding war but Philly may not be in a position to demand a ton. They might get a first, they might not but the only other alternative is to deny a trade entirely and that won't sit well.

i read a philly article that was about jost, the 2023 1st and a 3rd, i'd prefer to give the pick than the current prospects we have. We're gonna need some ELC's to play here soon with the new contracts being handed out in another year

It's a rumor that he'll go to 3 teams. Not definitive proof. Giroux has every right to say no to a trade. Just like Getz last year.

Value-wise it's ok but I still say the Avs don't move Barron and send a first with Ranta/Kaut and JTC.

I want to know more about Helleson. This is his 3rd year at college. Could he join for the playoffs? Are the Avs even thinking about that? If he can be a starter right now, I'm not as concerned about Barron.

It's possible, unfortunately I haven't seen much of the Olympics which would give us a better gauge of him perhaps as he's playing for Team USA. I guess the idea would be a future right side of Makar, Barron & Helleson once EJ is gone. I think it's risky to rely on young kids coming in for the play offs unless we're talking about the likes of Cale Makar, especially on D.
