I think the Canes are in a position depth and prospect wise to make a move. But I think they’d need a high level prospect to get Arizona to take it

Yep, I know it’s probably too complicated to include Crouse too, but the Canes could actually fit JC in the cap as of today without any salary going the other way. Yeah, I’d be willing to listen because $4.6x3 more is exactly in the ‘window’.

Think the canes would be silly not to jump on it. Think the question would be who the A- prospect is. I think the only prospects that should be off limit for JC would be Drury because he could factor into a cup winning team bottom 6 for a few years.

Who’s your best prospects . Jarvis probably isn’t considered a prospect anymore but who’s 2nd ?

This really depends on how good Arizona thinks Suzuki and Gunler are. If they’re just B prospects , Arizona doesn’t take it. If Arizona thinks either will be a 1st liner then sure

If that package got you Chychrun, it probably would already have been consummated. I don’t think you get him without including Necas or Jarvis.

Jarvis is an insta-No. Necas, maybe, if you get both Crouse and Chychrun, with Necas +.

The cap doesn’t work. Cap friendly’s projected cap space at the deadline is to make it simpler for regular joes to understand. It uses whole cap hits not pro rated. Ie the ducks projected deadline cap space is 55M. Its impossible to have that much projected cap space if they used prorated numbers.

The best way to see if the money works is using the trade machine.
