Basically the same player no way we pay that much just to save $2m. We are gonna need the whole mony contract off the books next yr so this wouldn't make sense.

Exactly! You can’t expect a kings ransom for a lot of your players. Of course some teams make mistakes with trades, like you guys trading that much for Dvorak, but there is no way you are getting that much for Dvorak, and there was no way you would get that much for Toffoli either.

I would too if I was you, then you would have two firsts this year instead of just one. Dvorak is good, but with the way he is playing, there is no way you are getting more than a second back. Which I guess comes down to Montreal deciding if they want to keep him, or trade him for that second round pick. Dvorak would be a good player for certain teams to have.. like Boston for example. I think he could mesh well there, and they need a 2c.. I works well for both sides I would say, IF they can’t get one of Hertl, or Miller.

I know Dvorak isn't getting either of those 2 but at the same time he's also right that Montreal doesn't really need LD prospects as 4 of Montreals top Prospects are LD in Norlinder Guhle Harris and Struble (even though I'm not the biggest fan of Struble) plus we still have Romanov on our Roster so if there was a prospect of a similar calibre but at a different position it would be a deal Montreal would likely be more interested in.

I think he likely will as he now knows the gm Better as its a Teammates dad and he said he was committed to the habs organization and even if he doesn't there's still Guhle and Romanov there who are at least expected to be able to handle top 4 minutes in the future and already signed to Montreal

He is just bitter cause for weeks he was insisting Toffoli would cost a 1st, a 2nd and Pelletier! So now he is just doubling down on his player valuations to try and save face.
