In no world do you think dube is a 1st round caliber player!? So, according to your reasoning nail yakupov is a 1st overall player! No, it doesn't mean that!
The 2nd is given to take Monahans contract, and the rest is for Dvorak. This isn't trolling its legitimacy

How is Dube not a 1st round caliber player? He's playing just as well as Jordan Kyrou this year, just can't seem to buy a goal.

Dvorak is not better than Monahan so that makes no sense

In a thread earlier I asked if he would delete his account if the Habs don’t get anything close to what he think they’ll get for their players. He clearly doesn’t believe what he’s saying cause he won’t take the deal. Sorry guys, I tried my best to get him off the site as of March 21.

So then according to your reasoning this time, I can say " how is lehkonen not a 1st and 2nd round caliber player? He's playing just as well as patrice Bergeron this year, just can't seem to buy a goal". So I'll take out dube then. But don't argue when we demand a big haul for lehkonen,
Dvorak is better than Monahan and has a good long term contract.

The way Lehkonen has played this year, as well as his cheap contract. I can definitely see him getting a good return from a team tight to the cap. He could possibly return a Coleman like deal as insiders mentioned.

Dvorak is better than Monahan how exactly? Neither has been particularly good this year

Monahan has 19 points in 43 games, while Dvorak has 16 points in 34 games on a way worse team supported with terrible linemates. Dvorak is younger, has a cheaper longer contract, Dvorak has been good the past 2 years, while Monahan has really downgraded. Dvorak has been playing with multiple injuries during the course of the year

Dvorak's "good the last 2 seasons" are still literally inferior to Monahan's "bad the last 2 seasons." and Dvorak wasn't injured all season last year

And Monahan had a major hip surgery he's been recovering from. (look at Seguin for similar situation)

Huge overpay by flames. Add Monahan and Dvorak to the toffoli deal and that makes alot more sense value wise (still won't actually happen, flames won't move 2 of their top 9f at tdl)

Dube+monahan+first+zary for dvorak + toffoli.

If you believe the habs will get anything close to what you posted, you're going to be severely dissapointed. Feel free to provide me with past comparable trades to justify if you want.

https://www.capfriendly.com/trades/players/max-pacioretty the pacioretty trade. Pacioretty had worse point totals around then, than toffoli. and pacioretty was on an expiring contract, and he got a 1st round caliber prospect + 2nd + 2nd round caliber player. Therfore toffoli on longer term on an amazing contract could switch the 2nd to a 1st. Also it should be pelletier instead of zary, because, suzuki at the time of the pacioretty trade was better than pelltier is now. Therefore that justifies toffoli for 1st, pelltier, dube /2nd / 2nd round caliber prospect

-Pactches had 7 seasons where he either scored or was on pace for 30+ goals. Toffoli scored 31 one season... not the same caliber of player.
-tatar blew up in vegas's face. He was a cap dump woth negative value at that time, defintely not worth a 2nd. Scored 0.3 pts/gp for them, was actively getting benched and cost them 5.3m for like 3 more years. Flames don't have a cap dump that bad on our team.
-not sure how suzuki was better in 2018 then pelletier now? Suzuki was still in juniors. Pelletier is ppg in the ahl in his rookie season. Pelletier would be way more valuable because he's proven at a higher level. Zary is definitely the more comparable prospect putting up similar nhle junior numbers.

So based on your comparable the closest package the flames would put together us:
Lucic/monahan + zary + second
Which is actually a better package for a worse player and still way less value then what you posted.

That's actually not true. Pacioretty was on the final year of his contract when he was traded. If toffoli would be traded now, he still has 2 and a half years left on his contract of 4.25 mil.
Pacioretty in his final year in montreal had 37 points in 64 games, the year before 67 points in 81 games. Toffoli in his final year in LA had 34 points in 54 games, the year before that he had 34 points in 82 games. He then got traded to Vancouver for Tyler Madden (a B prospect), 2nd round pick, Tim Schaller (cap dump). Since joining Vancouver he had 10 points in 10 games, and 4 points in 7 playoff games. He then signed in montreal for less than pacioretty signed in Vegas, while also having the better season. His 1st year in montreal he had 44 points in 52 games (while also having a 44 goal pace), then in the playoffs he had 14 points in 22 games. Now this season he has 26 points in 35 games. Therefore having more points in the past 2 seasons than pacioretty had in montreal his last 2 seasons. Now, I have 2 reasons why he's worth it. Pacioretty acquired a package of a 1st round caliber prospect, 2nd, and a player with no value. He had less production than toffoli at the time. He was on the last year of his contract and was gonna demand a very high raise. Toffoli has 2 and a half years left on one of the best contracts I the league qt 4.25mil. All that makes it worth that toffoli could get a 1st, 1st round caliber prospect, 2nd / 2nd round caliber prospect. Another reason, in the 1st toffoli trade he was traded for a 2nd round caliber prospect, and a 2nd. That was when toffoli was the 40 point player. Now, that toffoli I'd the 75 point player, AND he has ×5 more term on his contract left than last time, ypu could at least double the haul for what LA got. Madden ×2 = 1st round caliber prospect, 2nd round pick ×2 = 1st round pick. Then you could add a 2nd /2nd round caliber prospect.
Now, why would pelletier make sense? Suzuki in his ohl career had 328 points in 251 games, pelltier in his qmjhl career had 275 points in 210 games, if you want to say Suzuki played 41 more games, but if you calculate how much points pelletier would've had in 251 games, it would also be 328 points. For clarification most people consider ohl the toughest league to play in, more tougher than the whl or qmjhl. They both played 4 seasons there, but after the 4 seasons Suzuki went straight to the nhl, and picked up 41 points in 71 games. While pelletier went to the ahl, and scored 36 points in 36 games. Suzuki went to the nhl, rather than the ahl making him the more qualified player, pelltier had to go to the ahl. And, no. Habs didn't need him at center. He started the season on the 4th line, so it was his production that made him play in the NHL. Those are 2 very good proofs to show toffoli could fetch pelltier, 1st, 2nd /2nd round caliber prospect.
Thanks
