Hollands Last Chance

Description
With Tippett out and young blood Woodcroft in, this will be Holland's likely last chance to right the ship...
After all the moves, I also expect Holloway and/or Marody to be called up after the deadline should they have enough cap to do so at that point-if Russell goes on LTIR OR if there are any other injuries that may occur...

Dont like the trade for Domi. The oilers have enough Left handed wingers, a big, hard hitting right winger needs to be picked up somewhere if you are shipping out Kassian, Yamo & Ryan. That leaves them with only Pulj, Hyman, & Sceviour with right hand shots. And Sceviour shouldnt even make the starting lineup most nights.

CBJ just want futures for Domi. Turris does nothing, and we already ahve several Benson-esque players on our roster.

Maybe a 2nd and Samorukov.

Because as likeable as Yamo is to fans, he is not a top 6 winger. Dude has had more time playing on the wing of 2 of the best passers in the game and he cant put up points consistently. He is also too small and pushed off the puck too easily to be a good shut down player on the 3rd or 4th line.
A big steady LHD that is cheap and has short term left on his contract is perfect for the oilers right now. Bridges the gap for Broberg & Niemeläinen to eventually replace Soucy & Keith on the Left side.
Yamo should absolutely be used as trade bait, if not for a big LHD than definintley in a package for a goalie.

I think Lou would accept that Isles trade, knowing him he probably already accepted it in secret & it'll be released 10 minutes before the game tomorrow

Turris would be for cap purposes, and I highly doubt Domi fetches a 2nd plus a almost ready prospect...

When you have players like Holloway and Lavoie knocking on the door and can be somewhat versatile, same with Foegele and Perlini able to play both wings, it gives you more options, Plus Domi can play C or Wing, so you can slot him up or down the lineup in either position, but the beauty of him, he can score or play a bit of sand paper type game, which would help the bottom 6. I love Kassian, and wish he would play up to his potential from a few seasons ago, but I think he doesn't do the physical style nearly as much since he broke his knuckle AND was KO'd in pre season- so I think those things are weighing in the back of his mind.. And when Sceviour was in the lineup the PK wasn't nearly as dreadful as it is right now, with guys like Ryan and Yamamoto "killing" penalties...

I am all for trading Yamo, Ryan, and Kassian. I just dont think Domi is a good replacement. Someone bigger and meaner is needed.

Islanders arent interested. I wouldnt do the deal without kassian and even at 2.5 he still has negative value
