Don’t think Flames would give 2 first round picks for Toffoli. Id definitely take Pelletier and 1st too though. I love TT and you’re right he fits in well with the team but this is the lowest package id take for him. I think Heinemen is going to be a threat in the league personnally. Hes got good speed, hes a sniper and hes very good at battling in tight spaces which I think will translate very well to smaller NA ice. Won’t be a big learning curve when he makes the jump.

I think this trade is about right in terms of value and expecting Pelletier and a 1st "MINIMUM" is simply not realistic. (Sorry guys) That being said, Habs absolutely don't need to move him and should only move him if a silly offer is made. He's the kind of guy you can keep through a rebuild so there is no rush to move him so the price tag can be higher than it probably is.

I'd accept less than that. 1st and Pelletier is unreasonably high. Nothing wrong with having a high price but if the Habs are serious about a rebuild, Toffoli might be the only player the Habs could trade for a 1st this year. Im ok keeping Toffoli but half the team needs to be traded but im not sure we can trade half the team so we're basically stuck playing with the same guys next year essentially.

I think some Habs fans on here are going to need to go into hiding after they see what Chiarot, Lehkonen and Kulak will get on TDL. I dont think any of those guys is getting a 1st anymore. Toffoli is the only guy on the team that isnt Suzuki or Caulfield, that could get a 1st in a trade right now. IMHO.

That can change if MSL can get them playing like normal again though!

The only reason MTL fans are trading Chiarot and Lehky for 1st RD pick is because of Friedman & Sirevalli
