Description
I imagine they get the equivalent of 2-4 2nd picks at the deadline for Hino, Miller, Hagg, Pysyk, Butcher, Jankowski but didn't want this to he one of those 20 trade posts.

Wood adds some grit along with scoring. Lundkvist trade both teams benefit from trading from a position of stupid depth - BUT

Is this a huge overpay for Lundkvist? Feels like it, but I think I'm ok with it.

Overpayment, and honestly I fail to see what NYR does with yet another winger.

How about Krebs+3rd for Lundkvist+1st. Both of them are former first round picks with high potential and they would fill a certain need for both teams.

Sabres aren’t trading the player that they had to wait 5 months for Vegas to finally agree to trade in Krebs.

Most likely not. Just trying to think of an example that would benefit both, assuming BUF were interested in Lundkvist.

I think they were, but Drury apparently said he was off limits.

I’d be surprised if Devils made Wood available after missing him this year

Bad trade with Rangers, Johnson already looks very good and for me he is no less valuable than Lundkvist.

Come on man, Krebs doesn't trade, he looks great. Mittelstadt maybe available, but not Krebs.

This my friend is a Hockey trade.
I like Krebs but Buffalo needs RHD, while they have many options at center an RW.
Good suggestion.

I am obviously biased but I love Krebs and think he will be great so would rather not move him. Tons of RHD depth in this years draft so just use one of your later picks on one.

Mittelstadt is not as potential as those guys. And to be fair knowing NYR's cap situation next year they'd much likely prefer having a player under ELC next year I wager. Krebs (or Cozens) makes the most sense from Buffalo in NYR's pov, not that I think BUF would move them ofc.

I'm not high enough on Lundkvist to send anything too valuable, yes it's a decent RD prospect, but no wow. Schneider will probably outplay him, and I wouldn't even trade Krebs, let alone Cozens, for Schneider.

Understandable, but to be fair Lundkvist might be used as a trade chip specifically because NYR has another RHD prospect like Schneider.
