  1. Kravtsov, Vitali
  2. Schneider, Braden
  3. Choix de 1e ronde en 2022 (NYR)
Détails additionnels:
I get Schneider is "untouchable" but where is he going to play? You already have Fox, Trouba and Lundkvist on the right side so is he going to play on the left? But then on the left you have Lindgren, Miller and Jones with more in the system. A player like Miller is can't miss especially with other teams bidding on him
NYR
  1. Miller, J.T. (2 625 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
I really like what Miller brings to the team but his value has never been higher. It's a slim chance that we make the playoffs in the west and even then it's against Colorado or Vegas which we will likely lose. Not worth losing the potential haul we could get just for a 1st round exit.

VAN
  1. Thompson, Tyce
  2. Choix de 4e ronde en 2022 (EDM)
NJD
  1. DiPietro, Michael
  2. Pearson, Tanner
Détails additionnels:
First off, in no scenario should we be trading Garland. He fits well on the team and fits the age range of the team with a long and great deal. Pearson can be a leader and chip in on the 3rd line and can jump up into the top 6 if need be. His contract is a little steep so I threw in DiPietro as a sweetener. With the Canucks you already have Demko as your #1 guy and Martin has put in a very solid case for the backup job. Silovs is on par with DiPietro prospect wise but has better numbers in the AHL. Now for New Jersey the goalie situation is less clear. Blackwood is inconsistent and Bernier is injured. The goalies tried at backup haven't given good results. DiPietro still has the potential to be a backup or even a 1B in this league it just hasn't worked in Vancouver.
3.
VAN
  1. DeSmith, Casey
  2. Choix de 3e ronde en 2023 (PIT)
PIT
  1. Halák, Jaroslav
Détails additionnels:
I believe Halak would only waive his NMC for a true cup contender. Pittsburgh is looking like that currently with the impressive depth they have this season. Jarry has been very good this season but for whatever reason he struggles in the playoffs again an experienced goalie like Halak could steal you those games.

Rangers know the East Conf. is going to chew teams up and spit them out.
Miller is good, no doubt (can play on my club anytime).
However:
* for the package proposed ^ ^ and the Cap being flat to negative, NYR brass likely needs some xtra-TERM to boot.

Unless they see the NFL as being a potential scenario for them - where basically two 'Cinderella' teams in CINN-LAR are going for all the silverware!!!

Nico Daws is putting up much better numbers than DiPietro this season, and the Devils have plenty of Pearson type bottom 6 forwards. They gain nothing in this trade.
Tintin a aimé ceci.

Pearson's contract isn't steep at all, he's very capable of scoring 30-35 points. Don't know why anybody says he's on a bad contract

There's no point for Devils doing that trade.
Like the guy above said, Devils got a decent goalie prospect in Daws and there's Schmid as well.
Got plenty of wingers in their 20s as well with the same or better upside than Pearson.
Pearson will be 30 at the start of next season so there's no real runway for him to get better, he'll likely start regressing upon arrival if he hasn't begun that already.
He's not on a very good contract either, that 3rd year is gonna hurt the Devils quite a bit.

You should pay more attention to the Rangers games. Schneider has all but cemented his spot as the 3rd RD after Gallant played him for 20+ mins beside Lindgren with Fox out.

Devils goaltending needs are very short-term....we need a veteran for this year while we deal with injuries.
For the future, we have Daws and Schmid in our pipeline.
And I think Tyce Thompson will worth keeping for his offensive upside.

What sort of forwards do Canucks want to add to their system? Wingers or centers, R or L shot, speed or size?

If Jarry goes down the playoffs are lost. Halak isn't going to save that. No sense wasting a 3rd on it.
