Islanders were also in cap hell when the Towes trade was made. Mayfield is making 1.45 Mill for another season and has been playing top pair minutes. Maybe he won't get 2 seconds but he will get a better return than some of the posts I've seen. (ie. Holl and a 2023 3rd rounder) Definitely gotta make it worth the Islander time considering it would create another hole in their Defense.

Yeah I get your point. I actually really like Mayfield and would trade for him. And honestly, in a world where they say apparently the return for Ben Chiarot is a 1st, I don't understand why Mayfield would not cost that much (since he's the better player).
