That Couts trade is atrocious! Flyers don't need another LHD and McCarron is nothing special. Couts is one of the best defensive players in the league.

What do Flyers fans think Couturier is worth exactly? I think I've seen just about every Couturier trade proposal nixed by someone.

Objectively speaking, Beaulieu, McCarron, and a 2nd is a lot for a 3rd line center. If he's such a good player, why are Philly fans generally so interested in acquiring a top 6 center?
Move Couturier up to the 2nd line and you're set. I'm not knocking anyone, I'm genuinely curious as to what his perceived value is.

I'm curious about the Galchenyuk trade - Love the team assembled here and would love to get Huberdeau, but what's the motivation on Floridas part to do this trade? What I see is Florida is deep at young center (Barkov, Trochek, and Bjugstad?) so why move a possible LW for solid top line LW ?

I get what your saying, but I don't see Florida trading Barkov or Trochek. As for Bjugstad, His stats aren't that impressive, and his contract is a bit overpriced. Reminds me of a bigger Lars Eller...
I put Huberdeau in the deal because I think he'd be the most likely to move if Florida wants to shake things up and retool, as he is a player like Galchenyuk (hoping they would be top centermen only to put them on the wing)

Couturier thrives as a 3C shutdown man. What you are offering doesn't help the Flyers at all. No need for another LHD. McCarron probably wouldn't even make the team.

As I said before Couts is an elite shutdown guy. He also produces about 40 pts a year. That is very solid for a 3C. Plus he is on a great contract.
